In fall of 2023, esteemed alumnus and Emmy Award winning documentary producer/director/writer, Bill Einreinhofer, donated his professional archive to the O’Toole Library’s Guarini Center for Community Memory. Einreinhofer graduated from Saint Peter’s College in 1974 with a degree in history and worked at the campus WSPC radio station as an On-Air DJ and producer. He then went on to work at WNET as a production assistant in 1976, and in the spring of 1977, he produced his first documentary for WNET, Newark: Ten Years After. After that he produced a number of “mini-docs” for the New Jersey Nightly News (NJNN) -a joint production of WNET and New Jersey Public Television- from 1978 to 1982. From 1983 to 1995, he produced “INNOVATION,” the PBS science, health, and technology series, and in 1995, he founded his own digital media company, Paradox Communications, Inc. He was also the Executive Producer of the 2020 film Invisible Love. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America and is the Chair Emeritus of the Broadcast Journalism School of the New York Film Academy.

His professional archive consists of documentaries and other programming produced by Bill Einreinhofer between 1974 and 2023, through which he’s explored a wide range of subjects including China's involvement in World War I and II, the 2008 Olympics, science and technology advancements, astronauts and space exploration, and various other reportings covering New Jersey news.

The highlights of the collection include his most recent documentaries: China Frame by Frame (2023), Century Masters (2019), and Shanghai 1937 (2018). Also of note are his programs produced for WNET, NJNN, and INNOVATION including: Newark: Ten Years After (1977), Earth Tech ‘92 (1992), Other Space Race (1990), People in Motion series (1994-1995), and his assorted compilation videos.
