A Celebration of Peter Peacock

November 30 - December 19, 2021

The exhibit highlighted depictions of the Saint Peter's University mascot and symbol through the decades. In addition, on Monday, December 6th, members of the Saint Peter's community were invited to the Theresa and Edward O’Toole Library for "Peacock Day" to discover more about the University's mascot since 1930. Dr. Alan Delozier, former University archivist, presented an overview of the peacock’s role at Saint Peter’s. Ilona MacNamara, reference librarian, led participants through the library exhibit: A Celebration of Peter Peacock. Daisy DeCoster, library director, presented a display of peacock memorabilia from the archives.

The event also featured  a stunning preserved peacock and a live peacock from Prof. Carolyn Gerdes’ farm.
